What's holding you back and what do you need to focus on to get more progress?
My kids and I like to play a game while waiting for the elevator.
The game is to guess which elevator will arrive first.
In our last game, we were on the 14th floor, and there were three moving elevators.
Elevator #1 was on the 2nd floor.
Elevator #2 was on the 7th floor.
Elevator #3 was on the 12th floor.
Which elevator would you put your money on to arrive on the 14th floor first?
It took my kids some time to realize that it does not matter where the elevator is. What matters is where it is going.
Elevator #3 will get to us last if it is headed down.
The same applies to your life! Your location is NOT as important as your direction!
Would you rather be a millionaire who is losing money consistently or a person without a lot of money but growing wealth?
Most people get discouraged by their location, not even thinking about their direction.
Location may take some time to change, but your direction can change instantly.
What if you focus on your direction instead of getting frustrated by your location?
Your motivation and fuels have a lot to do with your focus. Sometimes, all you have to do is shift your focus.
